Looking for a new sushi bar to check out? Look no further than this new arrival. Located at 1616 Del Paso Blvd. in Old North Sacramento, the new addition is called Southpaw Sushi.
Led by chef Lou Valente, Southpaw Sushi serves unique sushi rolls and nigiri made with fresh, local ingredients. Aside from sushi rolls, like the California roll, spicy tuna roll and vegan spider roll, the menu, which changes daily, features Japanese and American fare like edamame, tempura vegetables, pork belly sliders and red curry chicken wings.
With a five-star rating out of 16 reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer has already made a good impression.
Jonjen L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 5, wrote, "The top place to get great quality sushi and a great atmosphere."
And Jessica F. wrote, "Love, love, loved this place. Friendly and attentive service from the moment we walked in. Fresh fish and amazing flavors. Also my wine pours were some of the most generous I've ever seen."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Southpaw Sushi is open from 3–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday and 3–9 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
