A new LGBTQ-friendly cocktail bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The latest newcomer to Oak Lawn, called Mr. Misster, is located at 3900 Cedar Springs Road.
Mr. Misster features a full bar with craft cocktails, DJ-spun music and a stylish ambiance for dancing and socializing. According to the business' Facebook page, the club strives to create "a unique, old-world setting with vibrant plush seating, soft lighting and a hint of glamour."
Mr. Misster has received mixed feedback on Yelp so far, but it's still in its early days.
Lorenzo H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new establishment on July 19, wrote, "Returned to Mr. Misster a few more times, and I had to change their rating to five stars. ... They added a new resident DJ, and you should so get ready to move all night, because she is fabulous."
Yelper Steve T. added, “It's just one big, over-glitzed room."
Swing on by to experience it for yourself: Mr. Misster is open from 5 p.m.–midnight on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday and from 5 p.m.–2 a.m. on Thursday-Saturday. (It's closed on Monday.)
