LSUHSC-New Orleans joins with the NOLA Partnership for Mental Health to host a second conference about why is it important for community to be involved in disaster-related research, especially in the context of serious mental illness. The purpose of this conference is to bring community members, community leaders and academic researchers together to describe how mental health is affected in disaster-prone areas, what partnered, comparative effectiveness research is, why community participation is important, to give an overview & provide a platform for planning the community research series, and to share results of previous and ongoing research projects.
