SEATTLE – On Tuesday, hundreds gathered in Beacon Hill to honor those killed in the recent mass shootings. “We have to endure, we have to come out of this united and strong,” said Raquel Garcia, a Latino arts vendor. Those in attendance recognized 31 seconds of silence for the 31 victims from this weekend’s two shootings. “Yes, prayers are very important, but we have to be more engaged in our community in making sure things change to protect communities more,” said Garcia.
