A video posted online by Jonathan Choe of The Choe Show shows a man confronting a Bellevue household on Halloween night, the New York Post reported. The Daily Mail reported that the person the father confronted recorded the video and that it was later obtained by The Choe Show.
The tract and the confrontation
The family had given the man's son a trick-or-treat bag containing candy and a Bible tract. The Post reported that the tract included the message “Jesus loves you,” Christian beliefs, and a short prayer; the Daily Mail reported that it also had a QR code linking to a free Bible study. In the footage, the father objects to the religious message, criticizes Christian beliefs, and says other religions should not be subjected to such messages, according to the Post.
What the video shows—and leaves unclear
The father is shown outside the Bellevue residence while his son sits in the family's parked Tesla, at one point moving from the passenger seat to the back, the Post and Daily Mail reported. The father has not been identified by name in the available accounts, according to the Daily Mail. The Post noted that the recording does not establish what happened before filming began or whether anything else occurred afterward.
