A new tapas spot and cocktail bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Fireproof, the fresh arrival is located at 1026 N. High St. in Italian Village.
On the Fireproof menu, look for braised beef short rib sliders, lamb meatballs and wagyu beef dumplings. Cocktails include classics like a gin and tonic, an old fashioned and a Paloma, as well as butterfly tea lemonade with citron vodka, lemon, simple syrup and butterfly tea sonja orchid.
Fireproof has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Sandy W. wrote, “We ordered many tapas, such as red peppers stuffed [with] crab meat, brisket sliders on halal roll, different squash noodles with an Asian flair, slaw with chicken thighs and chicken with a white barbecue sauce. Everything was delicious!”
And Logan A. said, "The food was excellent. Out of our order, I especially recommend the baba ganoush with fresh pita and the street corn. Drinks were unique, light and definitely Instagramable. (Go for the margarita or Manhattan.)"
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Fireproof is open from 4–11 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 p.m.–midnight on Thursday through Saturday, and 4–9 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
