The Mesa City Council will meet on Sept. 9. We've examined the session agenda to create this report of what's scheduled for consideration by the members.

Headlining the forthcoming agenda is a contract with Western Technologies Inc. for welding certification and inspection services for the Energy Resources Department for three years with two years of renewal options, at $250,000 annually.

According to the agenda, members will also consider a contract with Valleywide Generator Service LLC for a generator replacement program for the Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities Department and the Information Technology Department for three years with two years of renewal options, at $635,000, $624,000 and $605,000.

Other agenda items include:

  • A contract to landscape a 9,800-square-foot city-owned lot at the northeast corner of the Mesa Drive Park and Ride site for $45,949, to be funded by transportation general obligation bonds.
  • A contract with A&M Graphics for vehicle wrap services for the Water Resources Department for three years with two years of renewal options, at $37,500 annually.
  • A contract with Daktronics Inc. for video display/scoreboard components and event services for Hohokam Park and Fitch Practice Fields for three years, at $31,000, $33,000 and $35,000.
  • A contract with Holbrook Asphalt for pavement preservation service for the Transportation Department for 34 months with two years of renewal options, at $765,000 annually.
