A new brewpub and cidery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Locust Cider & Brewing, the new arrival is located at 1222 Post Alley in Central Business District.

Locust Cider & Brewing serves hard cider, craft beer and canned wine as well as cider slushies and an extended food menu, which includes Uli's Sausages in flavors like jalapeño cheddar and rosemary chicken.

The family-friendly brewery also offers a variety of retro video games and board games for young and old patrons alike.

With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition is getting mixed reviews from clientele.

Aaron G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 22, wrote, "After hanging out there for an hour and a half (and drinking several awesome ciders), we decided to pay for a membership on the spot. The open, well-lit atmosphere is nice, and I love the fact that they've got a couple of video game systems set up in the corner."

And Delia S. wrote, "It has a laid back, cool ambiance and the staff are super friendly and helpful, but the ciders were beyond subpar. The dark maple lacked any distinct taste and especially did not even have a hint of maple which was disappointing."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Locust Cider & Brewing is open from noon–9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday and noon–10 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday.
