Ice cream fans, take heed: Emack & Bolio's has added a new location at 741 Fulton St. in Fort Greene.
Massachusetts-based Emack & Bolio's, which got its start more than 40 years ago, has shops in Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights, New Jersey, Boston and more. The new Fort Greene outlet offers two dozen varieties of Emack & Bolio's ice cream, as well as a rotating selection of daily specials. Check out standbys like strawberry and cookie dough or unique creations like Space Cake (cake batter ice cream with pieces of shortbread cookies and chunks of red velvet cake) and Cosmic Crunch (vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips, walnuts, cookies and a caramel swirl). There's also a selection of frozen yogurt, sorbets and vegan varieties.
With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new locale is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Stacey F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 5, wrote, "One of the best ice creams I've ever had. So many fun flavor options and cone options, including cereal-crusted. More please!"
Yelper Bella W. added, “Visited this new location of Emack & Bolio's on a Saturday afternoon and was thoroughly impressed with both the service and the ice cream."
