A new steakhouse, wine bar and cocktail bar has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called The Hamilton Supperette and Lounge, the fresh addition is located at 12232 N. May Ave.

The Hamilton Supperette and Lounge adds a mid-century atmosphere with a menu that features an array of steak, chicken pork and fish, as well as a wide wine selection.

Start with the Why the Quail Knot appetizer, with fried okie, cream gravy and orange gastrique, and then opt for either the The Hamilton Wedge with shaved tenderloin, creamy blue cheese dressing, bacon, shaved egg, crispy shallots and baby iceberg lettuce.

The Hamilton Supperette and Lounge has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Tracy N., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Aug. 28, wrote, "I definitely recommend getting the 14 ounce rib eye or the tomahawk pork chop. They were perfectly cooked and juicy. As for the sides, hands down get the mac and cheese."

Yelper Jamie H. added, “I had the tomahawk pork for the main dish. It is the only way I want to eat pork from now on. It was so juicy and mammoth. It sits on top of some luxurious mashed potatoes.”

Head on over to check it out: The Hamilton Supperette and Lounge is open from 4 p.m.–11 p.m. on Monday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
