Join us for a screening of new Dutch American series "Amsterdam Ave.," co-created by Carnegie Mellon alum Pooja Tripathi at the Tepper School of Business. "Amsterdam Ave." is a series created by two female filmmakers of color featuring a Dutch Surinamese girl in Amsterdam and an Indian American girl in New York City, who switch places to follow their dreams. We will be showing the first three episodes of the series before launching into a question-and-answer session with the show's creators.

Garbage Bag Gala & Fashion Show

The Garbage Bag Gala brings fashion, food and fun together in one room while raising money for The Salvation Army Family Caring Center. Local designers and fashion boutiques design outfits out of garbage bags and other recycled materials, which are later modeled and judged in a fashion show. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. To add to the fun, guests are encouraged to create their own “trashwear” and wear it to the event.
