Sooki, shepherd and hound mix

Sooki is a darling female shepherd and hound mix staying at Stop the Suffering.

Sooki will get along great with other dogs. Sooki is already spayed and vaccinated. Have no fear: She's already house-trained.

Here's what Sooki's friends at Stop the Suffering think of her:

Sooki is a Shepherd mix around 1-2 years old. She came to us very shy with health issues that are being treated. She had to have a hysterectomy and will soon need an additional surgery to fix her ACL. She was very shy when she came into her foster home but has been able to develop trust over time. She is kid- and dog-friendly. With love, time and patience, this sweet girl will make a wonderful addition to a family.

Biscuit, Great Pyrenees

Biscuit is an adorable female Great Pyrenees dog in the care of Stop the Suffering.

Biscuit loves other dogs. She is looking for cat-free home. Stop the Suffering, however, thinks she will do best in a home without small children. She's already house-trained. She's spayed, and she has had all her shots.

Biscuit's current caretakers say:

Biscuit is a big, fluffy sweetheart who has a lot of energy and loves to play. She is nervous with new people at first, but once she warms up she likes attention. She is too nervous around young kids, so she would need a home without young children. She chases cats, so a home without cats is needed as well. She likes roaming rather than walking but is learning to leash walk. She will play and play, so a home with a fence is required. Biscuit is good with other dogs and will sit on command.

Rhett, German shepherd mix

Rhett is an adorable male German shepherd mix currently residing at Stop the Suffering.

Rhett gets along well with other dogs. His ideal forever home would be a cat-free environment. He has had all of his shots, and he is neutered. He's already house-trained.

Rhett's current caretakers say:

Rhett is a very intelligent, handsome male German Shepherd estimated to be 7 years old and weighing approximately 110 pounds. Rhett loves attention, especially belly rubs.  He enjoys being brushed, is very affectionate (he is a leaner) and is just an all-around sweet boy. He is very playful, loves going for walks, exploring the backyard and playing fetch. While Rhett is good with other dogs, he is not a fan of cats.  Rhett doesn't hear well, and his eyes are a little cloudy. Due to his hearing and vision loss, he needs to go to a home without small children who don't understand they cannot approach him quickly or from behind.

Socks, hound mix

Socks is a sweet male hound mix being cared for at Stop the Suffering.

Socks is happy to keep company with other dogs, cats and kids. He's already vaccinated. He has mastered his house-training etiquette.

Here's what Socks' friends at Stop the Suffering think of him:

Socks is the best. He is great with cats, dogs and kids. He is such a sweet, cuddly dog. Inside of the house, he is calm and doesn't even jump on people. Outside, he likes to run and play (and might chase squirrels, though we are still figuring that out). Socks is perfect in a crate, and he's been perfect when left outside of the crate too — no accidents, no chewing! He has shown a lot of hesitation to go up or down long flights of stairs, so he may need some positive reinforcement to gain confidence. This sweet boy wants a family who doesn't mind him being an 85-pound lap dog who loves to curl up on the couch and cuddle.

Paris, chihuahua mix

Paris is a female chihuahua mix staying at Stop the Suffering.

Have no fear: Paris is already house-trained. She already has had all of her shots, and she's spayed.

More from Paris:

Bonjour, mon ami! Je m'appelle Paris. I'm just a little lover looking for a retirement home that has fabulous company. I do enjoy spending my days snuggled up to a darling human or lounging in my she shed —  that's what I believe you peasants call a crate filled with luxurious blankets. Do you think you have that certain je ne sais quo for a 9-year-old Chi like moi? Oui? Oui?
