A new coffee cafe by day/bar by night has opened in the Short North. Called Poindexter Coffee, the recent arrival is located at 750 N. High St., in the Graduate Columbus hotel.
With a morning focus on coffee and breakfast bites like avocado toast and a variety of egg dishes, and later-day offerings such as craft pizzas and beer, Poindexter's ambition is to be an "on-point hangout," according to its website.
The spot has received mixed reviews thus far, with a three-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Adam C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 22, wrote, "The premise is interesting; they serve the usual coffee drinks — espresso, cappuccino, lattes — with a small sampling of hot breakfast entrees. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu."
Yelper Kate A. added, “I love trying the newest coffee shops in and around Columbus and stumbled upon Poindexter while strolling through Short North. It is connected to the new (and very cute) Graduate hotel that has an OSU theme. The coffee shop is roomy with lots of seating and has even a large bar top with more bar stools for seating. The service was quick and the employees were kind...”
Head on over to decide for yourself: Poindexter Coffee is open from 6:30 a.m.–11 p.m. daily.
