Topping the list is The Grill. Located at 3300 San Mateo Blvd. NE., it is the highest-rated affordable burger spot in Albuquerque, boasting 4.5 stars out of 379 reviews on Yelp. 

We looked there for an overview of The Grill on San Mateo.

Next up is Del Norte's Rex's Burgers, situated at 5555 Montgomery Blvd. With four stars out of 132 reviews on Yelp, it has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for a low-priced option. 

We looked there for an overview of Rex's Burgers.

"Family owned for 50+ years; we ball our meat fresh daily, bread our onion rings fresh daily, steak dinners made and created in-house," it writes on Yelp. "Shakes and malts."

3. Weck's

Weck's in Highland is another low-priced go-to, with four stars out of 77 Yelp reviews. Head over to 933 San Mateo Blvd. NE to see for yourself. 

Yelper Scott J., who reviewed the spot on Aug. 4, wrote, "Weck's is doing it right, from very personal greeters and wait staff to enormous amounts of great quality food."

Rod B. wrote, "Great food. ... I had the chicken enchilada with scrambled egg whites and I could barely finish it......and I'm a big eater."

4. Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Over in South Los Altos, check out this outpost of the chain Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, which has earned four stars out of 63 reviews on Yelp. Dig in by heading over to 10201 Central Ave. NE. 

Yelper Caryn B., who reviewed the spot on Nov. 2 wrote, "Good burgers and custard. These burgers are similar to In-N-Out Burger. Tried their double burger and their patty melt. Both good. Frozen custard was smooth and creamy."

Steve G. noted, "I like frozen custard so we ordered a Hawaiian delight with pineapple, strawberries and macadamia nuts.  The toppings were great, the custard just OK."

5. Twisters

Last but not least, there's an outpost of the chain Twisters, a Matheson Park favorite with four stars out of 32 reviews. Stop by 2809 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE. to hit up the restaurant.

Yelper Russell W., who reviewed the spot on Sept. 28 wrote, "Twisters has a huge variety of great breakfast burritos, or you can build your own. Their menu has a wide variety of delicious entrees."

Rachel T. wrote, "I have been to this Twisters many times and it has always been super good. ... However; when I got home and opened my food, I was beyond disappointed."
