Craving bubble tea? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 5503 Eighth Ave. in Borough Park, the fresh addition is called Tan-Cha.

This is the first New York City location of Tan-Cha, which launched in Southern California in 2017 and has since expanded to six shops in that region. The business specializes in tea drinks topped with cheese foam. Stop in for foam-topped fruit and milk teas loaded with boba or for one of its signature specials, like the Royal Ceylon milk tea with tiramisu puff cream, the Uji Matcha with cheese foam or the Pu'er tea with matcha foam.

With a four-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition is getting a good reception.

Susan B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 18, wrote, "Their drinks are unique and extremely delicious compared to many other boba shops."

Yelper Ali T. noted, “Opening day was packed and lines were long, but their drinks were delicious! I ordered the brown sugar drink with tapioca balls and my friend ordered the matcha drink with foam. Drinks weren't too sweet and that's how I like them."

Tan-Cha is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. Friday–Sunday.
