A new spot to score art classes and coffee has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 1822 N. Capitol St. NW, Washington DC in Ledroit Park, the new addition is called Creative Grounds DC.

Creative Grounds DC is both a coffee shop and community art space. Drink offerings include hot and iced coffee beverages, as well as tea and pastries. Try the buttery croissant, the chocolate cake or the vegan banana nut bread. The spot also offers art and dance classes.

Creative Grounds DC has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Austin G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 30, wrote, "Local art hangs from the walls and soon they will host creative classes for the neighborhood. The coffee is good! My latte was creamy and balanced. They also sell pastries and a few food items."

Yelper M L. added, “Great coffee and baked goods. Best yet, my daughter can take art classes downstairs while I work on my laptop.”

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Creative Grounds DC is open from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 8 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.
