A new Cajun spot, offering seafood, soul food and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Cajun Boiling Seafood and Bar, the new addition is located at 2760 Brice Road in Independence Village.

Cajun Boiling Seafood offers appetizers like fried calamari, hush puppies, shrimp cocktail and oysters. Entrees include a fried shrimp basket served with sweet potato french fries, snow crab legs served with corn and a potato and shrimp, chicken and fried catfish po' boys. Add coleslaw, broccoli or Cajun-seasoned fries to your order. 

According to the business's Facebook page, the spot is "a locally-owned company serving boiled seafood in bag alongside Cajun crab, lobster tails and shrimp."

The new addition has made a good impression thus far, with a four-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp.

Jason R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 21, wrote, "The food came out pretty quick and was amazing. The flavors of everything was on point. The seafood was fresh and good size."

And Sandra L. wrote, "Absolutely delicious and prices were great. The restaurant is beautiful and inviting. In the back there's an area that would be great for parties. Highly recommended!"
