A woman is in life-threatening condition after being struck by a Muni light-rail driver near Oracle Park last night.

The incident occurred around 10:49 p.m., according to police. SFPD spokesperson Officer Robert Rueca said that the victim, 61, was a pedestrian. She remains in the hospital.

The driver of the train, a 49-year-old man, was not arrested but is being investigated by police.

SFMTA spokesperson Erica Kato declined to comment further, but said that the police report is "consistent with the information" she has received.

It's unclear which line the Muni train was running; both the N-Judah and T-Third service Oracle Park.

Oracle Park's intersection, at Third and King streets, has been identified as a high-injury corridor under the city's Vision Zero plan, which aims to eliminate traffic fatalities by 2024.
