A new Korean spot, offering hot dogs and more, has debuted in the neighborhood. The newcomer to the International District, called ChungChun Rice Hot Dog, is located at 502 S. King St.
ChungChun Rice Hot Dog, which has locations in California and Washington, specializes in handcrafted hot dogs, featuring the Gamsung, a hot dog wrapped in crispy fried potatoes; the Ramyon Noodle Chips, a crispy fried ramen hot dog; and the Volcano, a hot dog made with spicy sausage.
With a four-star rating out of 60 reviews on Yelp so far, ChungChun Rice Hot Dog has gotten a good response.
Lola Y., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 28, wrote, "Yum yum yum! Didn't know what to expect but everything we ordered was delicious. We had a sweet potato dog, squid ink mozzarella sausage and ramen dog. Hot and crispy."
Yelper David H. added, “Seattle has always been lacking a Korean-style corn dog place, which makes ChungChun a very nice addition to the area. Although a little overhyped, it's still a really solid and affordable place.”
