Global Game Jam 2020

From the event description:

 At Global Game Jam locations around the world, teams of artists, coders, designers and musicians collaborate to build games over a weekend based on a specific theme. The event is open to all experience levels, with no prior experience required. This year, the event will be hosted at the Midtown Tech Hive co-working hub, located in Cleveland. Your ticket price includes food all weekend long, as well as networking opportunities on Friday night. Keynote speakers and the theme announcement will start promptly at 6 p.m. on Friday night. Final game demos and presentations will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Participants may sleep at the Tech Hive overnight (bring a pillow), but re-entry will not be permitted between midnight and 10 a.m. A ticket is required, even if you just want to watch.

Future Cities Book Release + Mariana Mogilevich Lecture

We're kicking off a year of celebrations with a book release for the latest volume of the CUDC's journal, "Urban Infill 8: Future City." The release reception begins at 5:30 p.m., and special guest speaker Mariana Mogilevich will give a talk at 6 p.m. titled "Between Policy and Poetry: What can a publication contribute to the collective work of city-making? A view from New York City." Mariana is the editor-in-chief of "Urban Omnibus," a publication of the Architectural League of New York.
