Police search for suspect in hit-and-run death of pedestrian

According to officials, a 79-year-old man was walking in a Superior Avenue crosswalk at East 99th Street on the afternoon of Jan. 3 when he was hit by a car that fled the area. The victim, whose name is not yet known, later died from his injures in a hospital. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to immediately contact police.
