Milwaukee is seeing strong demand for technicians' skills. Employers in the industry posted 122 new jobs over the past week, and 516 in the last month, more than for any other job category in the area, according to ZipRecruiter, a leading online employment marketplace.

Local technician also came in first in terms of local employers adding new jobs by occupation. In the past month, 154 companies listed open jobs for Milwaukee-based workers in the industry.

Top companies seeking local technicians include Northstar Home, Nimmer Heating & AC and Mohave Mental Health Clinic. According to a recent job opening posted by Mohave Mental Health Clinic, "Mohave Mental Health Clinic Inc. (MMHC) was founded in May of 1968 as a private, not-for-profit corporation to seek, promote, assist and contribute to the improved mental health of the individuals, families and communities in Mohave County."

Nimmer Heating & AC also posted jobs for HVAC installers and dispatchers.
