A new Irish pub and restaurant has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Lochland's, the fresh arrival can be found at 8518 Plano Road in Lake Highlands.
Lochland's offers craft cocktails and quintessential pub fare in a casual dining environment. On the food menu, expect to see items like fish and chips, steamed mussels, caprese flatbread, shepherd's pie, burgers, salads, German-style schnitzel and steak frites.
With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Lochland's has been quite warmly received by patrons.
Joseph R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new establishment on Feb. 9, wrote, "Fantastic addition to this underserved section of East Dallas! For Sunday brunch, we had the breakfast flatbread, which was delicious. Three sunny side up eggs and plenty of chopped bacon. I loved the spicy bloody mary, and wife says ditto on the mimosa!"
And Susan P. added, "Being vegetarian, I chose the sunni salad (arugula, avocado, parmesan and pine nuts with a lemon vinaigrette). It was delicious! ... My companion chose the reuben with a side of avocado jalapeño soup, which was apparently also delicious, as we both cleaned our plates. The service was excellent."
Lochland's has yet to share its business hours online.
