As the name suggests, the restaurant specializes in empanadas, offering two dozen savory and sweet varieties of the traditional Latin American snack. Stop in for classic empanadas filled with beef, cheese and chicken, or for one of the specialty "exotic" empanadas, such as carbonara and chicken alfredo. For dessert, check out the sweet empanadas filled with chocolate cake, peanut butter and jelly, guava and cheese and more. Empanadas are available individually or in combo specials.
Other menu items include Latin American comfort food favorites like Cuban sandwiches, mofongo and platters of pork, beef, rice, beans and plantains. There's also a selection of loco mocos — a Hawaiian dish of rice, burger patties, fried eggs and gravy.
Exotic Empanadas has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
