A new Vietnamese spot has debuted in the neighborhood. The newcomer to the University District, called Time Bistro, is located at 4537B University Way NE.
On the menu, look for appetizers like Vietnamese sticky wings, crispy basil tofu and shrimp spring rolls. An assortment of banh mi sandwiches and bowls are also on offer, as well as red Thai tea ice cream for dessert.
Time Bistro has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp.
Mallory J., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 13, wrote, "The chicken wings were my favorite. Super crunchy, flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The pho was seriously perfect. It's flavorful, fatty and complex. You can tell that they work hard on this broth."
Yelper Johnny Y. added, “Their vermicelli bowl was pretty good with relatively large servings of the pork. The different ingredients in this bowl added many flavor profiles to this taste and the entire dish was rather saucy, which made it even better."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Time Bistro is open from 10:30 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 10:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
