Hungry? Local Mexican chain Tacombi has opened a new location in the Financial District, at 74 Broad St.
This is the ninth taqueria in the Tacombi restaurant family, which has outposts around Manhattan and Brooklyn and one in the works for Long Island City.
The new restaurant offers more than a dozen kinds of tacos, including barbacoa, carnitas, al pastor, crispy fish and seared shrimp. There are vegetarian options, too, such as the black bean and sweet potato taco and the avocado tostada. All of Tacombi's tacos are made with Vista Hermosa, Tacombi's proprietary brand of tortillas and salsas.
To drink, try one of the traditional, homemade agua frescas. This location of Tacombi also boasts a full bar.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the restaurant seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Roman S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 16, wrote, "Delicious food and beyond-welcoming staff."
Yelper Tom H. added, "It was very, very good."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Tacombi is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
