A new cafe, offering sandwiches, salads and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 616 First Ave. in Pioneer Square, the fresh arrival is called The Stop.

The Stop specializes in sandwiches of all varieties. On the menu, you'll find breakfast sandwiches, ham and cheese on a baguette, banh mi, a lamb sausage sandwich and more. There are also salads, soups, espresso drinks, fountain drinks and tea.

With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, The Stop has made a promising start.

Robert U., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 11, wrote, "This spot serves what may be the greatest gourmet sandwiches in downtown Seattle. The Stop offers the Le Barbes, Le Bahn-mi, Le Cuban international flair sandwiches. The service is fast and friendly. "

Yelper Jason T. added, “Sandwich was pretty solid but expensive for what you get. The sandwich was ready in just a few minutes (which was good) and was pretty tasty."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: The Stop is open from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
