Coal, terrier mix

Coal is an adorable male terrier mix being cared for at Second Chance Pet Adoptions - Adoption Center.

Coal is looking for cat-free family. He has had all of his shots, is neutered and has mastered his house-training etiquette.

Here's what Coal's friends at Second Chance Pet Adoptions - Adoption Center think of him:

Coal is a sweet, mature gentleman. He's terrier mix (maybe pitbull, maybe staffordshire) and estimated to be around nine years old. His foster mom fell in love with his adorable head tilt and fun personality. Coal is great with other dogs but is not too excited about cats. He seems to love everyone he meets. Coal is not completely blind or deaf, yet he does not see and hear like other dogs. He's also full of spunk and so goofy.

Sophia, Jack Russell terrier mix

Sophia is a darling female Jack Russell terrier mix staying at Second Chance Pet Adoptions - Adoption Center.

Sophia has been vaccinated and spayed. She is a special needs pet, so please inquire about her specific care requirements.

Here's what Sophia's friends at Second Chance Pet Adoptions - Adoption Center think of her:

Sophia is ten years old; she's an oldie but definitely a goodie. Sophia has a heart of gold with a sweet temperament to go with it, loves everyone she meets and has a lot of love to give. Sophia woke up one day and was having some trouble walking, so she went to the vet and was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease. She was given medication for 10 days and her foster mom was told to take things easy with her. She was also having some issues with pottying in the house and was suspected to have Cushing's disease. We are still in the process of trying to nail down an exact diagnosis, but, luckily, this girl is great at going potty on towels if she cannot hold it long enough for you to let her outside. The long-term outlook for her is not as bleak as it sounds; the veterinarian said that if she doesn't have any other issues come up, she may not need any more medication related to her issue. If she does have another issue, she may have to be on medication longer term. Sophia likes to go for walks and hardly barks. She loves the doggie door at her foster home and is in and out all day long. Sophia would make a good companion for a retired couple or for someone who has a lot of time to spend with her. She is sensitive to loud noises and for this reason is looking for a home with no small children. She would need some kind of yard in which to play and would be beyond excited to have a doggy door to use in her forever home. Sophia does have some early signs of hearing and vision loss, but that has not held her back from enjoying and loving life.

Jethro, hound

Jethro is a male hound dog currently residing at Neshama Animal Rescue.

Jethro will get along great with other dogs. He is looking for cat-free family. Jethro has been vaccinated.

Notes from Jethro's caretakers:

Jethro is the sweetest boy. It was clear that before he landed in a rural NC shelter that he had been someone's pet but wasn't given as much love as he so clearly deserves. When a human walks in his room and he's resting in his crate, he immediately rolls on his back for belly rubs and his tail starts thumping. Jethro loves walks and playing with other dogs. He would do best in a home with dogs but would also be fine being your one and only.
