Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the most excellent affordable food trucks in Denver, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to fulfill your urges on a budget.

1. Shondiz

First up is Shondiz, situated at 480 16th St. in downtown Denver's Central Business District. With 4.5 stars out of 149 reviews on Yelp, the food truck, which specializes in Mediterranean, Persian and Iranian fare, has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for a low-cost option.

"Shondiz is a family-owned and operated restaurant with locations in the Denver Tech Center and downtown Denver," the business explains in the history section of its Yelp profile. "Shondiz serves Persian and Mediterranean grill items for both lunch and dinner. Our breakfast menu consists of a variety of premium breakfast burritos."

"Hands-down the best Indian food I've had in the U.S. or London," said Yelper Valery L., who reviewed Taj Palace Food Truck on Nov. 6. "I can only speak for the vegetarian dishes, but wow. The paneer tikka masala is my favorite Indian dish. ... The portions are huge, it's very inexpensive and they allow you to do a half-and-half plate, so you can choose multiple entrees."

Last but not least, check out Baba & Pop's Handmade Pierogi over in Northeast Park Hill, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 29 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the reasonably priced modern European food truck by heading over to 4850 E. 39th Ave.
