Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the most excellent affordable lounges in Denver, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to enjoy a cocktail on a budget.
1. Horseshoe Lounge
Topping the list is Horseshoe Lounge. Located at 414 E. 20th Ave. in Curtis Park, the establishment is the highest-rated inexpensive lounge in Denver, boasting four stars out of 210 reviews on Yelp.

3. Herb's Hideout
Over in Five Points, check out Herb's Hideout, which has earned four stars out of 95 reviews on Yelp. Imbibe at the reasonably priced lounge, music venue and dive bar by heading over to 2057 Larimer St.
Yelper Greg M., who reviewed Herb's Hideout on Dec. 20 wrote, "This place was great. ... A lot of great and friendly people. The atmosphere was perfect. ... The back patio was also nice. ... The live music was good. The drinks were cheap and strong."
Jelena L. noted, "How can you not like Herb's? Cheap drinks, strong drinks, good times! I love coming here to pre-game. It's super nice out on the patio!"
4. The Refinery
And then there's The Refinery, a LoDo favorite with four stars out of 75 reviews. Stop by 1932 Blake St. to hit up the lounge and gastropub, which offers sandwiches, breakfast, brunch, beer and more, next time you're in the mood for low-cost libations.
Yelper Patrick L., who reviewed The Refinery on Oct. 29 wrote, "Great happy hour with $3 infused vodkas (mixed or on-the-rocks). Bartenders were friendly, and was a very cheap place to get a few drinks and hang out."
And Monica R. added, "Delicious drink specials, affordable prices and friendly staff! Super welcoming and chill atmosphere."
