1. Broadway Book Mall

Topping the list is Broadway Book Mall. Located at 200 S. Broadway, the book emporium is the highest-rated inexpensive bookstore in Denver, boasting 4.5 stars out of 28 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Katy L., who reviewed Broadway Book Mall on Sept. 14, wrote, "This is a hidden gem. Great selection of books, newly printed and classics. The staff is helpful, and will go to great lengths to connect you with your next book. If you like a treasure hunt, this is your bookstore."

3. Kilgore Books

Capitol Hill's Kilgore Books, located at 624 E. 13th Ave., is another superior choice, with Yelpers giving the budget-friendly book boutique, which offers comics, used books and more, 4.5 stars out of 66 reviews.

Lastly, check out Capitol Hill Books, which has earned four stars out of 45 reviews on Yelp. You'll find the low-cost bookstore by heading over to 300 E. Colfax Ave. 

"Capitol Hill Books is an independent bookseller, serving readers at Colfax and Grant for more than 30 years," the business touts in the history section of its Yelp profile.

Furthermore, "We are a general used bookstore with a wide selection of subjects, from architecture to zen," it continues on Yelp in the section pertaining to signature items. "Although it is not our specialty, we do have a selection of rare, out-of-print and signed books. We love recommending the perfect book to our customers. We do not purchase books, but we do trades for book credit by appointment only."
