A new cafe and vegetarian spot, offering coffee and tea and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Pill Hill, called Petit Cafe, is located at 411 30th St.
According to the business's Facebook page, "Petit Cafe is a friendly neighborhood cafe serving fresh seasonal vegetarian fare for breakfast and lunch, as well as artisanal coffees and teas Monday through Friday."
Early morning eats include oatmeal with maple syrup, fresh berries and toasted nuts, as well as a breakfast wrap with scrambled eggs, vegetarian sausage, roasted red pepper and onion, cheddar cheese, avocado and fresh salsa.
There's also an assortment of espresso drinks on tap, as well as specialties like London Fogs, Mexican hot chocolate and chai lattes.
With a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Petit Cafe has made a promising start.
Karen L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 28, wrote, "It's the perfect neighborhood cafe — aesthetic and comfortable. They have a wide selection of healthy breakfast and lunch menu items."
Yelper Cara W. added, “Really enjoyed the experience here. Their menu is a lot of fun, with items like a latte made with chaga and CBD infused soda. All of the food is vegetarian (and much of it is vegan)."
Head on over to check it out: Petit Cafe is open from 7 a.m.–2:30 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
