Bobwhite Counter got its start in Manhattan's Alphabet City in 2012 and has since expanded around NYC with kiosks in the city's Urbanspace food halls. Now, the business has made the move across the Hudson River, bringing its signature fried chicken to a stand-alone restaurant in Jersey City.
The menu offers platters of fried wings, thighs, drumsticks and tenders, served with choice of sauce and classic sides like fries, mac and cheese, coleslaw, collard greens and more. The new spot also offers chicken sandwiches made with fried tenders tossed in buffalo, barbecue or Bobwhite sauce and served on a buttermilk biscuit or toasted potato bun. For non-chicken eaters, there are options featuring seared salmon and fried catfish, as well as a vegetarian plate consisting of veggie-friendly side dishes.
The new addition has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
