If you've got Latin American food on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Locura, the newcomer can be found at 839 Singleton Blvd., Suite 150, in Eagle Ford.
According to its Facebook page, Locura specializes in Mexican-inspired cuisine with a global twist. Menu items range from a pork posole Frito pie, pork quesadilla and blistered shishito peppers to various corn and elote flavor options, which include pesto, truffle parmesan, lemon pepper wing and Ranch Doritos.
The fresh addition has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Audrey G., who was among the first Yelpers to review Locura on March 8, wrote, "We had the elotes two different ways and couldn't pick a favorite, because both were delicious! We had the dulce de leche and truffle elotes — delicious! ... I also tried the the veggie tacos. I can't even explain the wonderful flavors that you can taste with every bite!"
And Gloria B. noted, "I've been here twice, and tried the takis elote, truffle elote, pork belly, loaded fries, ribbon salad and quesadilla. Everything has been delicious. It is affordable and very tasty."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Locura is open from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
