A new beer garden has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 2012 Ninth St. NW in the U Street Corridor, the fresh arrival is called Echo Park.

Among its selection of 18 beers, Echo Park offers eight brews on tap. It also serves wine and cocktails, as well as chicken wings, fried Brussels sprouts, salads and a variety of pizzas.

The newcomer has made a good impression thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Doug E., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 25, wrote, "Had a couple quality beers, and the sausage and pepper pizza. I thought the pizza was above average for D.C. (which isn't saying much), but I would definitely go again."

And Joe P. wrote, "This pizza is amazing. Complemented with Negroni on tap - about $3 cheaper than D.C. counterparts - and a well chosen list of beers on tap."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Echo Park is open from 5 p.m.–2 a.m. on Sunday–Thursday and 5 p.m.–3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
