Pop-up pâtisserie Domi has opened up shop in the Canal Street Market at 261 Canal St., the first brick-and-mortar location for the French-Asian cream puff bakery.
Founded last year by a pair of pastry chefs with experience in Michelin-starred restaurants, Domi specializes in classic French profiteroles with Asian-inspired flavors.
Stop by the pâtisserie's new kiosk for a rotating selection of seasonal profiteroles filled with hojicha (roasted green tea) cream, miso caramel apples, matcha-infused white chocolate and more. Domi also has plans to begin appearing at Smorgasburg this spring.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Domi seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Lolin L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 19, wrote, "I'll definitely be back for more profiteroles!"
Yelper Seelia C. added, “Really cute and innovative flavors."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Domi is open from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday.
