A new beer bar and New American spot, offering coffee, tea and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 3200 Chestnut St., Suite A in University City, the new arrival is called The Board & Brew.
The Board & Brew offers more than 700 board game titles, along with a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, with items ranging from to lemon dill salmon on toast to buffalo chicken sandwiches to mac and cheese. There's also a variety of coffees, teas and craft brews, along with pastries and cakes.
With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new beer bar has already made a good impression.
And Steven T. wrote, "The staff was super friendly and inviting, and the grilled chicken pesto sandwich was tasty. Old Bay fries were a nice surprise. Some people were playing backgammon in the corner, but everyone else seemed to be here just for the food and diverse selection of teas."
Yelper Julia P. added, “The location settled nicely in between Drexel and Penn's campuses. The interior is nice and a decent study space. There is lot of natural lighting. I went with a tea and was pleasantly surprised to find leaves."
