Want to adopt a pet? Here are 5 precious puppies to adopt now in SeattlePhotos: Petfinder

Interested in adopting a pet — or just looking at some adorable pups near you up for adoption? There are dozens of darling puppies up for adoption at animal shelters in and around Seattle.

Animal shelters and pet rescue groups work hard to care for unhoused pets and connect them to loving homes. Hoodline used data from Petfinder to power this roundup of puppies currently available for adoption.

(Details like pet availability, training, vaccinations and other features are based on data provided by Petfinder and may be subject to change; contact the shelter for the latest information.)

Echo, German shepherd

Echo is a darling male German shepherd puppy in the care of Washington German Shepherd Rescue.

He has mastered his house-training etiquette. He has had all of his shots.

Here's what Echo's friends at Washington German Shepherd Rescue think of him:

Echo is an adorable, four-month-old, plush coat, German Shepherd that has just arrived into rescue. His previous owners absolutely adored Echo and took wonderful care of him. Echo was living in a condo, is crate-trained and has had an excellent start in life. He had lots of love and attention. Echo's owners felt that he needed more time and a fenced yard to play in. And hopefully he'll have another canine companion to live and play with. Echo will excel in obedience training and we can’t wait to send him off to a new amazing forever home. He is currently loving his foster home with other shepherds and a cat.

Bella, German shepherd

She is vaccinated. She has mastered her house-training etiquette.

From Bella's current caretaker:

Bella was surrendered at eight-weeks-old by her owner when she was hit by a car. She has a broken back and is wearing a body cast. Bella is regaining the use of her back legs.

Gibbous, whippet mix

Gibbous is a darling male whippet puppy currently housed at Dog Gone Seattle.

Gibbous likes to socialize — he's happy to keep company with kids, dogs or cats. He's been vaccinated.

From Gibbous' current caretaker:

Gibbous is an estimated three-month-old male Whippet mix puppy from Hawaii. The shelter says Gibbous (and his sibling Crescent) were very scared and in awful shape when they came into the shelter but have improved significantly and are ready for transfer. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and is a social little guy, so we're looking for a home for him with a canine companion. Gibbous loves to snuggle and has been gentle with the kids he's met.

Bebe, boxer mix

Bebe is a sweet female boxer puppy in the care of Emerald City Pet Rescue.

Bebe plays well with others, and she'll get along great with other dogs. She has been vaccinated.

Bebe's current caretakers say:

Meet baby Bebe. She is a happy girl who will steal your heart the minute you meet her! Bebe is a playful pup who loves squeaky toys belly rubs and treats. Bebe has urinary and fecal incontinence but it doesn’t stop her from having a wiggly whirlwind of a good time. Bebe gets along with other dogs and can learn to live with cats. She would do well with gentle children ages five and over. Please consider opening your home to beautiful Bebe.

Zuri, black and tan coonhound

Zuri is a female black and tan coonhound puppy staying at Dog Gone Seattle.

Zuri is a social butterfly, and she loves other dogs. She's vaccinated.

Here's what Zuri's friends at Dog Gone Seattle think of her:

Zuri is an estimated five-month-old, 27 lb female Black and Tan Coonhound mix looking for her forever home in the Pacific Northwest after being discarded in Texas. We expect she will be about 55 lbs as an adult. She enjoys the company of other dogs and people and would like to join an active family. She has done fabulous with the young children in her foster home. She has found her big hound voice (though she is quiet in the crate with her people around, but she does like to talk!) and is such a joy to have around. As she's gotten more comfortable, she is getting more puppy-like and loves to steal clothes, napkins, socks and paper. With more exercise she'd likely be less energetic indoors.

Apply to adopt Zuri today at Petfinder.
