Nikita, American Staffordshire terrier and pit bull terrier mix
Nikita is an adorable female American Staffordshire terrier and pit bull terrier mix staying at Pooch Match.
Nikita will get along great with other dogs. She has mastered her house-training etiquette. She's already vaccinated and spayed.
From Nikita's current caretaker:
Nikita is 2 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. Nikita and Vienna were found together on the street and adore each other. They would be a great pair, but don't have to be adopted together. Nikita needs a strong, experienced handler because she is quite strong. She loves adventures and is very outgoing. She enjoys the company of people and gets along with other dogs. Nikita is doing well with leash and crate training.

Joey, chihuahua and Yorkshire terrier mix
Joey is a sweet male chihuahua and Yorkshire terrier mix currently housed at Pooch Match.
Joey will get along great with your other dogs. He's already house-trained, has all of his shots and is neutered.
Here's what Joey's friends at Pooch Match think of him:
Joey is 1-2 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. He can be a little shy at first, but is sweet and doting once he feels comfortable. He would love a home where he can go for walks and have playtime, but will also let him relax and lounge with his family. He's a pretty active guy, but is not hyper. He gets along with other dogs and kids. Joey likes to be a lapdog, too! He is doing well on crate-training and leash-training. He is a well-mannered, loving guy that just wants to complete a home in the best way possible.

Billy, poodle and Maltese mix
Billy is a male poodle and Maltese mix staying at Pooch Match.
Billy loves other dogs. He is looking for cat-free home. Billy will do best in a home without small children. He has mastered his house-training etiquette. His vaccinations are already up to date, and he's neutered.
Notes from Billy's caretakers:
He's 3-4 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. He will be a very gorgeous dog when his fur grows back in (from having to be shaved because of severed matting). Billy has come a very long way — from under-socialized to now embracing affection. He came from a harsh environment where he was outside 24-7 and given no attention or affection. Because of his background, he does need an experienced adopter and a calm, patient household where he can adjust at his own pace. He does well with other dogs. He would need a home that does not require him to be social with strangers or visitors.

Mambo, Pomeranian mix
Mambo is an adorable male Pomeranian mix currently residing at Shamrock Rescue Foundation.
He is neutered.
Mambo's current caretakers say:
He's a sweet little boy who gets along with other dogs but would definitely prefer to be the only dog in your home. He loves exploring the backyard, so yours must be securely fenced. Because he's small, he will need supervision, especially if you live in an area where wild critters are about. He'll need to be indoors at night, of course, and he likes being with his people, so that won't be a problem. He needs to lose a little weight. His love of food makes training easy. Aside from the extra weight, which we're working on taking off, he's a healthy boy.

Chico, chow chow and Pekingese mix
Chico is a male chow chow and Pekingese mix currently residing at Shamrock Rescue Foundation.
Chico is looking for a home without small children. He's neutered.
Notes from Chico's caretakers:
We think he is a combination chow and Pekingese. He looks like a Peke, but he weighs about 30 pounds, and he has the purple tongue of a chow. He can be a little standoffish at first, but once he knows you, he adores you. Food is the key to his heart. He likes to explore the yard and chase the occasional ball. He's pretty low-maintenance but he does require a dog-experienced home without children.

Milo, chow chow
Milo is a lovable male chow chow dog being cared for at Shamrock Rescue Foundation.
He's already been neutered.
Here's what Milo's friends at Shamrock Rescue Foundation think of him:
Milo has had a very rough go of things. He was brought into the Orange County Animal Care facility in October 2018. He was a very unhappy, hard-to-handle boy because he had severe skin issues, some of which can be seen in his last picture. The shelter did its best but it was obvious that he needed to get more medical care than it could provide. Shamrock took him in in December, and his skin issues continued to plague him. Our vets finally were able to diagnose a serious skin infection. It has been tough to battle, but we have won. As he has gotten better, Milo has changed from a grumpy man to a delightful, friendly guy. He's a little shy — he's probably never had much love, given his terrible condition — but he loves walks, being outside and hanging with his friends. He would do best in a calm environment without children. He needs a patient family who will let him get used to his new surroundings at his pace. He likes slow, short, easy walks with lots of time to stop and smell everything around him. We don't think he's had much chance to do that in his life, either.

Stewie, chow chow

Stewie is a darling male chow chow dog staying at Shamrock Rescue Foundation.
Stewie plays well with others, and he's happy to keep company with other dogs. He is neutered.
Stewie's current caretakers say:
This guy is about 8 years old and weighs 62 pounds. He's the nicest, happiest chow you'll ever meet. He loves everyone and will give you kisses at first meeting. Stewie lost an eye to glaucoma, but that doesn't stop him at all! If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky companion, Stewie is your man. Home with access to a fully fenced, secured yard required. Another friendly dog or dogs would be a bonus, as Stewie loves canine companionship.
