Milwaukee's health care industry is experiencing strong job growth. Local employers posted 212 new jobs over the past week and 722 new jobs in the last month, more than any other local industry, according to ZipRecruiter, a leading online employment marketplace.

The health care sector also came in second in terms of local employers adding new jobs. In the past month, 143 companies listed open jobs for Milwaukee-based workers in that industry.

One of the top employers hiring locally in health care is CareRev. "Founded by a nurse whose goal is to help other nurses improve their quality of life, CareRev is a platform where you can schedule per diem shifts at hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers near you," according to one of the company's recently posted job openings.

Other top companies seeking local hires in the industry include Bria Health Services of Trinity Village. According to one of its recent job openings, "Compassionate, resident-centered care is the cornerstone of our services."

Jobs posted by CareRev in the past month in Milwaukee included registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and respiratory therapists, while Bria Health Services of Trinity Village was hiring registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and technicians and Voca sought registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and medical assistants.
