Topping the list is Davenport. Located at 2215 E. Burnside St. in Kerns, the New American spot, which offers seafood and more, is the highest-rated high-end New American restaurant in Portland, boasting four stars out of 150 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Katie B., who reviewed Davenport on March 8, wrote, "The dining room inside is cozy — tables are fairly close together. The food, service and ambiance were all fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to come back."

Yelper Duane S. wrote, "A client of mine had been bugging me to eat at Davenport for years. Yes, years. As my friend had said, the food was fabulous. The service, despite being packed, was fabulous. And the price, including a couple of cocktails, was surprisingly affordable given the caliber of the food."

2. Le Pigeon

Next up is Buckman's Le Pigeon, situated at 738 E. Burnside St. With 4.5 stars out of 1,230 reviews on Yelp, the French and New American spot has proven to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge.

Yelper Andrew S. wrote, "If you imagined a fine dining experience with a uniquely Portland vibe, this would be it. They offer an a la carte menu as well as a five-course or seven-course tasting menu. Just the perfect way to end a long day."

And Yannise J. noted, "I came early on a Sunday night and was really impressed with how attentive and polite the service was."

3. Portland City Grill

Downtown Portland's Portland City Grill, located at 111 Fifth Ave., Floor 30, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the fancy steakhouse and New American spot, which offers seafood and more, four stars out of 2,848 reviews.

Yelper Lela B. wrote, "I scored this so high because of the view. It is breathtaking! A great Birdseye view of the entire city of Portland. Such a romantic ambiance for a late-night date. We ordered a few drinks and a dessert for a nightcap."

Ly N. added, "Pretty solid steakhouse. The ribeye was tender and medium-rare, the scallops were cooked perfectly, the salmon was flaky, the lamb chops had a nice texture and the chicken was juicy. Overall, the quality was good and staff is friendly and welcoming."

4. Willow

Willow, a New American spot in Hosford-Abernethy, is another much-loved, pricey go-to, with five stars out of 201 Yelp reviews. Head over to 2005 S.E. 11th Ave. to see for yourself. The spot has a six-course tasting menu with optional wine and beer pairings.

Yelper Hollina U. wrote, "Willow has become one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. I love the concept, which is so unique and refreshing. Two chefs run the place by themselves, with one serving as front of house, greeting diners, serving beverages, helping to plate and walking diners through the experience, while the other is cooking in the kitchen."

Roger B added, "The environment, presentation, friendliness of the hosts and of the guests, and of course the food exceeded my expectations in every way. I've never seen or heard of anything like it."
