Huey is a sweet male coonhound mix currently housed at Mutts in a Rut Rescue, Inc.

Huey will get along great with other dogs. He is already house-trained. Huey is vaccinated and neutered.

Notes from Huey's caretakers:

Huey is just under two years old, about 95 pounds, neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Sadly, Huey lived the first year-and-a-half of his life likely outside at a breeder. He was never socialized with people, but he loves other medium- and large-sized dogs. Huey currently lives with one of our trainers who does have a small dog, and, after regular monitoring, he is now fine with the small dog, but any new small dog will require some work. Huey doesn’t intentionally want to hurt them, but with his size and over-zealous nature to play with them, he may be best in a home without small dogs (under 20 pounds) or cats. His adopter must have another balanced dog to help him work on his fear of people. Huey's foster/trainer is able to handle him for any vet and grooming needs, but Huey does not enjoy being touched beyond necessities. Huey is very food-driven and will come to get a treat but does not want to be petted.

Ruby would like to be your gem. While still new to the kennel, Ruby has been a happy, friendly lady from the get-go. She is a bit nosy and loves her treats. She is around three years old and weighs 56 pounds.

Charlie is fifteen months old, and he was adopted as a puppy from a local APL. However, the family had medical issues that required them to look for another home for Charlie. Charlie is currently in a foster home. He is house-trained, has been with three other dogs and has interacted with many humans - including children - without issue. Charlie isn't quite aware of his body size, so he can be a bit clumsy. He's also very energetic and needs running time. Charlie would do best in a home with another active dog.

Betty is a sweet female terrier and pit bull terrier mix staying at Cleveland Animal Care and Control.

Betty is already house-trained. Her vaccinations are up to date, and she is spayed.

Betty is a compact dynamo, bursting with silliness and sweetness! She loves people and is happy to make your acquaintance whether you are to be her next playmate or snuggle buddy. When happy or excited, her little wiggle booty gets going a mile a minute! Though vivacious and social in many ways, she also has a soft and sensitive side. Betty may not have spent a ton of time as a house pet before and would benefit from a home where she can adjust at her own pace and learn the new routine. Her company is sheer delight, and she is one very adorable nugget, so we think she'll fill her future home with sunshine and wags.

Zephyr has mastered his house-training etiquette. He's neutered and vaccinated.
