Flushing gets a new grocery store: Marino’s SupermarketPhoto: Tsz-Cheong C./Yelp

A new grocery store has opened for business in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to Flushing, called Marino’s Supermarket, is located at 46-07 Hollis Court Blvd.

The business has taken over the space of D'Alessandro Food Market, which shuttered last year after six decades of being in business. The new market offers fresh produce, a deli counter serving up Italian cold cuts, imported specialty products from Italy, and other groceries and staples, as well as catering services. This is the second location of the Flushing supermarket, whose flagship store can be found over on 29th Avenue.

The fresh addition has proved popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Tsz-Cheong C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 27, wrote, "Marino's Supermarket is a breath of fresh air. The place is well stocked, and the lines move quickly, as the staff is the epitome of kind, patient and efficient in doing their jobs."

Yelper John C. added, “It has everything you need. And it's got that neighborhood feel to it."

Head on over to check it out: Marino’s Supermarket is open from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 8 a.m.–3 p.m. on Sunday.
