If you've got Caribbean fare on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Located at 301 Water St. SE, Suite 115, in Navy Yard, the fresh addition is called Bammy's.

Goat curry, cornmeal fry bread, known as Festival, jerk chicken, collard greens and spicy cheese, as well as cocktails, are among the menu options.

In early days, Bammy's has a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Nicki B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 7, wrote, "We ordered the half chicken, chicken sausage and the coco rolls. The chicken took a little longer than we were told, but it was worth it. Cooked to perfection. The chicken sausage was great, and we liked the rolls with cheesy spread and sweet and spicy sauce. And the Painkiller cocktail with sliced fruit was wonderful."

And Nicole O. wrote, "I ordered goat curry and the coco bread house rolls via their website. The flavor of the goat curry was good with some nice heat to it."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Bammy's is open from 5 p.m.–9 p.m. on Wednesday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
