Dessert fans, take heed: #Baonanas has opened its new brick-and-mortar flagship at 181 Monticello Ave. in McGinley Square.

#Baonanas, which specializes in banana pudding, got its start as a pop-up back in 2014, appearing at farmers markets around the region before adding a stand in Harborside's District Kitchen food hall (210 Hudson St.). Now, #Baonanas has opened its very first standalone shop where it sells its signature pudding in a wide variety of flavors.

Offerings include a weekly rotating selection of banana puddings, made with layers of mousse, sliced bananas, wafers and different extras. Check out flavors like Matchananas (with matcha mousse), Nutella walnut, lychee rose and more. #Baonanas also offers vegan varieties made with ube, coconut or cookie pieces, as well as non-banana-based puddings in flavors like mocha and orange mascarpone.

With a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, the business has been warmly received by patrons.

Maria K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 20, wrote, "The staff is super attentive and so chill. The interior is the cutest."

Yelper Marc L. noted, "Beautiful looking store, great customer service and, of course, DELICIOUS #Baonanas pudding!"

Interested? The eatery is currently open for takeout from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday, offering to-go pints, half-pints and party trays. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
