On a Tuesday night, with the Giants out of town, Oakland A's fans packed the Coliseum and BART trains in a passionate "reverse boycott," showing support for their team while urging owner John Fisher to sell and keep the A's in Oakland. This surge in attendance resulted in BART experiencing its second-highest ridership day since March 2020. Concurrently, thousands more flocked to the Oakland Arena to witness a K-pop concert by girl group Twice. Despite these large gatherings, BART ridership still faces significant challenges, with safety concerns and uncleanliness cited as deterrents for potential patrons.
