In a shocking incident, a mother was punched and robbed while getting her child out of a car seat at the Park N Shop shopping center in Concord, California. The strong-armed robbery occurred in broad daylight on July 24, 2023, around 3 p.m., according to the Concord Police Department.
The victim was reportedly removing her child from the rear car seat when a suspect attempted to steal her purse. A struggle ensued, but the suspect managed to overpower the woman by punching her before absconding with her purse. The suspect then fled the scene in a black SUV heading towards the freeway, as per a Mercury News report.
The assailant was described as a black male, having a thin build and wearing a mask at the time of the incident. Thankfully, the mother sustained only minor injuries, and the child was not physically harmed, Patch.com reported.
