On early Sunday morning, a seemingly ordinary night out at Club San Luis in Menlo Park turned into a frightening scenario as two men threatened a crowd outside the nightclub with a firearm, forcing San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies to step in and make arrests, according to CBS News.
The tense situation began when the two men, later identified as Liandro Moreno Jazo, 32, and Jorge Moreno Torres, 34, from Redwood City, were ejected from the club after a fight but came back armed with a rifle, as reported by Mercury News. Responding to a 2:40 a.m. call, San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies arrived to find witnesses who provided descriptions and license plate numbers for the suspected vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted, during which officers found a BB gun rifle in the vehicle and promptly arrested both Jazo and Torres, per KRON4.
The Redwood City duo were booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, threats, conspiracy, and brandishing a firearm. Both men are being held on a $50,000 bail, and each could face multiple felony charges.
