In a high-stakes operation, the OPD Community Resource Officers (CRO) 3 and those assigned to the Violent Crime Operations Center (VCOC) and Intelligence Unit joined forces to execute a surprise search warrant on the underground establishment, situated in the 2300 block of East 16th Street; not only were multiple casino gaming machines found and taken into custody, but the raid also uncovered three firearms, including a highly-dangerous assault rifle complete with extended magazines, and a significant cache of ammunition.

The suspects, obviously keen to protect their lucrative yet very illegal enterprise, had been flaunting cash – the total amount remains undisclosed – and were found carrying weapons, intent on defending their illicit operations at any cost.
