A heartbreaking collision took place in Antioch today, where a pregnant woman was killed, and her unborn child also lost their life. The tragic rollover incident occurred at about 4:50 p.m. on Lone Tree Way in front of Sutter Delta Medical Center, according to NBC Bay Area. The pregnant woman, assumed to be in her twenties, was ejected from the car during the crash and was later pronounced dead.
Initial investigations found reckless driving as a contributing factor in the accident. The car the woman was in crashed into another vehicle, leaving the driver of the other vehicle with minor injuries and transported to a hospital for treatment.
The circumstances leading to this tragedy are still under investigation, and an arrest is a possibility, Antioch Herald reported.
